  VMRDA has taken up development of Master Plan and other important roads in a big way during the last two to three years to open up new areas and for better   connectivity in VMR area and extended limits of VMRDA i.e., in Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts along with regular infrastructure development works.

FUTURE PROJECTS

I) Development of Mudasarlova Park, Visakhapatnam:
  • VMRDA proposed to develop MUDASARLOVA PARK as International Tourist Destination in Visakhapatnam.
  • The development will encompass the existing natural resources and landscape with a design of high quality with an innovative approach based on self-sustainable solutions.
  • Area to be developed is Ac.20 along-with reservoir.
  • Project Cost Rs.15 Cr.
  • The proposals are under process. APUGC is the line department to finalise the designs.
  • Joint Meeting of Andhra Pradesh Urban Green & Beautification Corporation & the Metropolitan Commissioner, VMRDA held on 3-11-2017 O/o.VMRDA Building, 9th Floor, Visakhapatnam.
  • Detailed scope of work & consultancy fee furnished by the consultant, M/s.DESIGN ACCORD, New Delhi are to be finalised.
II) Details of the 7 Master Plan Roads of VMR to be taken up under PHASE I :
  1. Pedamushidiwada- Tri Junction :
  2. This is 100’ wide proposed road extended to a length of 1.9 km with an estimated project cost of Rs.7.60 Crores and the open up areas for new development is 329 Acres. The work is in estimate stage.
  3. Lankelapalem Junction- Sabbavaram Road at Nakkavanipalem:
  4. This is 267’ wide proposed road extended to a length of 11.01km with an estimated project cost of Rs.44.04 Crores and the open up areas for new development is 1893.72 Acres. The work is in estimate stage.
  5. Visakha Valley School Road From N.H.16- Beach road connecting near East Zoo gate :
  6. This is 60’ wide proposed road extended to a length of 1.60km with an estimated project cost of Rs.6.40 Crores. The work is progress.
  7. Rusikonda Satellite Layout- Beach road Connecting at Sai Priya Resorts:
  8. This is 100’ wide proposed road extended to a length of 0.59 km with an estimated project cost of Rs.2.36 Crores and the open up areas for new development is 101.99 Acres. The work is in estimate stage.
  9. Duvvada Railway Station- Kurmannapalem Arch :
  10. This is a proposed 100’ wide road extended to a length of 2.1km with an estimated project cost of Rs.8.40 Crores. The work is in estimate stage.
  11. Vepagunta Junction to Pinagadi Junction Via Chimalapalli village- Chimalapalli Road :
  12. This is a 200’ wide proposed road extended to a length of 9.0km with an estimated project cost of Rs. 36.00 Crores and the open up areas for new development is 1556 Acres. The work is in estimate stage.
  13. Y Junction- Bheemili Beach Road (Dorathota Road) :
  14. This is a 100’ wide proposed road extended to a length of 7.96 km with an estimated project cost of Rs. 31.84 Crores and the open up areas for new development is 1376 Acres. The work is in estimate stage.
III) Comprehensive Integrated world class Tourism Museum at Beach Road.
  • The proposals are under preparation to make an Integrated world class Museum with War Memorial, Sub marine, Rajiv Smruthi, AU Convention Hall & TU -142 Air craft.
IV) Construction Modern Auditorium (Ravindrabharathi Type Auditorium) at MVP colony, Visakhapatnam
  • The site area is Acs.1.49 Cts.
  • Project cost is Rs.32.25 Cr.
  • The Auditorium with seating capacity of 1500 Nos.
  • Tenders are to be floated.
V) Development of Modern Multi Storied Parking Complex with Top floors.
  • The existing site area is 6540Sqyds.
  • The project cost is Rs.60.00 Cr.
  • The project is under feasibility stage.
